Coincidence

I just finished watching United 93 again and then when i finished watching it i went to the computer room and the song "The color of love"was randomly playing on the computer, and this is the song that Boyz II Men released not too long after 9/11 and had a brief image of the light in place of the twin towers... mad coincidence.
I just dont understand how people can hate each other so much to kill each other...and i am not only talking about what happened on that day, but what happens everyday... i just dont understand how a person could intentionally put a knife, a bullet etc. into another person... seriously... it is so depressing sometimes when i turn the tv on to the news...
I was reading an article about a little girl who was named "Baby Grace" by the police while attempting to identify her and after properly identifying her, they found out that the 2 year old had been grabbed by the hair, thrown across a room, pushed underwater and belted, amongst other things. How can anyone...any mother do this to her own child... how can anyone do this to another human being?
I just dont understand people sometimes... sometimes i think that we are worse than animals, at least animals do it for survival reasons, we just do it because of pure evil.
It's just sick.

Aint it interesting?!

i think it is so interesting how people lose touch by as soon they are reminded by facebook or myspace that it is someones birthday or someone is engaged, people start writing you! It is as if people can't be bothered to drop in coz they want to but only at a moment when they know people wont be requiring a further conversational reply. I mean on my birthday i received over 20 facebook messages wishing me a happy birthday, half of them being from people i havent talked to in years, some even as long as over a decade! I know people move on and get new friends and it is hard to keep in touch with everyone but sometimes i feel like "thanks for thinking about me but do you really mean what you are saying or just being polite?"
Why is it weddings, birthdays, and funerals and sometimes new years the moments that people contact each other... is it our slack way of feeling like we have made an initiative to stay in touch with a long lost friend or in some cases a friend by association?!
I changed my status once on facebook from being single to engaged and people started writing to me, people who were from way back and people i didnt really talk to anymore...
why is that?
Sparkle Stick listening to Aimee Mann's "Two of us"
Two of us riding nowhere
Spending someone's hard earned pay
You and me Sunday driving
Not arriving on our way back home
We're on our way back home
We're on our way home
We're going home
Two of us sending postcards
Writing letters on my wall
You and me burning matches
Lifting latches on our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home
You and I have memories
Longer than the road
That stretches out ahead
Two of us wearing raincoats
Standing solo in the sun
You and me chasing paper
Getting nowhere on our way back home
We're on our way back home
We're on our way home
We're going home
You and I have memories
Longer than the road
That stretches out ahead
Two of us wearing raincoats
Standing solo in the sun
You and me chasing paper
Getting nowhere on our way back home
We're on our way back home
We're on our way home
We're going home
We're going home
So happy

Don't know what is happening to me but lately I have been so happy... not happy as in me usually being happy but REALLY happy... and for NO good reason at all... like absolutely nothing has been bringing me down... maybe it is because i have been running again and it is releasing all the stress, and I come home to a hot meal and watch tv and then have a laugh or two with my pops... and my mamasita when she calls... it is just great... no stress... not even my little annoying brother Anesu (Gwanti) can bring me down with his issues... it is great... I mean yesterday my older brother woke me up at 2am and kept calling 'til like 4am and despite having only 1.5 hours of sleep I still got up for him and not get cranky for him calling me up continously asking me for me to pay for his chinese food that he had ordered with my ex classmate from Russia, while in Kansas... hahaha... so random... I dont know I was too happy to talk to him to even care about a thing in the world... but he is still an idiot! HAHAHA! I think that also the thought of the family finally being ALL together for the 1st time since the end of 2004! Moms, Pops, The 3 Boys, Me, the whole shibang! I am so excited!
My life feels so full and no longer empty... I used to worry that the deep loneliness that I felt after breaking up with my man would last for ages... and it did... but eventually everything started to be ok... I no longer needed to be in someones arm to feel complete or not alone... and that was awesome... I could be alone with me and enjoy it... or what Katie called me being Anti Social... hahaha... it is the greatest feeling when you can be with you and not have a care in the world and not wish you were some where else or with some one else... I realized you can't be happy with someone if you are not happy with or within yourself...
I feel like I am finally at the point where im confident again and am enjoying my own company...
Its a great feeling!
Sparkle stick's song of the moment:
Justin Timberlake's : "(Another Song) All over again" (his last performed song at the JT concert)
You've been alone, you've been afraid
I've been a fool
In so many ways
but I would change my life
If you thought you, might try to love me
So please give me another chance
To write you another song
And take back those things I've done
Cause I'll give you my heart
If you would let me start all over,
Again

Been a while

It has been a while since my last post and things have been crazy these past couple of months have been crazy... I dont know I have been living my life, making mistakes along the way but still living my life and learning things along the way... It has been great and sad and lonely at moments trying to get over a relationship which i cant say im totally over to be honest. But i feel like we are both accepting that we are not meant to be together at this time... and after receiving a letter from him the other day I felt so HAPPY that he was doing good and living his life... We have been through lots of shit together and have been on an emotional roller coaster but im glad that friendship wise, we will be ok... his optimistic letter brightened my day even more because i still care for him and what is in the past is in the past and I dont see the point in letting past issues get the best of me now... I dont know right now as I am sitting on this computer i feel soooo happy... everything is falling into place and my relationship with my parents has NEVER been so GREAT! They know that when I have sorted myself out, I will take care of them the way they have taken care of me since my birth. I also think our relationship has been fantastic because these past few months I have been kicked in the face with how all the things they used to yell at me for was so true... I used to think they were just having aging issues but they were so right. And as I learned each lesson it made me love them even more and made me realize what great people they are. I used to also get annoyed at all the family secrets that unbeknownst to my parents i was uncovering... but i then I realized everyone has baggage and everyone has done things that they are not too proud of because we are not perfect and as long as we learn from our mistakes...eventually... or god helps you understand the error of your ways
then good for you... i realized their secrets were from then, and this is NOW so no need to hold on to them... They are great people now and that is all that matters to me... and on the friendship section i feel like i have made new friends and have had so much fun chilling with people and have caught up with old friends. I feel like things are looking up and i hope my last semester will help prepare me for the next chapter of my life... can't wait!

Ferris wheel... no thanks
Please remind me NEVER to get on a Ferris wheel in South Korea... After reading a sad story about how a family trip to a Carnival turned deadly, my question of whether a ferris wheel could ever capsize got answered. 5 of the 7 members of the family who were on the same ferris wheel carriage tragically fell out of the ferris wheel and only two survived. So sad... Remember always hold on to the side panels!

people come and go
I was looking at this picture and I realized how many people have come into my life and go... It happened in Cuba...then in America...then in Russia... and even now in Australia... I mean all the people in this pic have either left or will one day just be a memory in the back of my head...or wherever your memory bank in located in your brain...like always, we will find each other again through the internet and will get excited but after a couple of weeks or perhaps months, it will become a burden and we will lose each other again, well except on xmas...everyone will get their own families and get new friends and be in different countries and all the good and the bad between the people you used to know, start to fade as each year passes by... right now we say we will know each other forever, but being realistic, time will fade everything...
60 more or perhaps 2 months
My friend Katya brought to my attention that in just 2 months, I will be turning 22! Wow time travels so fast! SERIOUSLY! So young... and yet so old :P
2 Months til 22... crazy...
Its funny how the majority of the people in our ressies are clustered into 2 seperate months... Jenny, Yammas and Xtina all in July and then the Octobers being Read on the 10th, Me on the 11th and Tim Tam on the 31st... crazy...
doesn't make sense
I think it is quite interesting how people are very hesitant to pay $10 to go to a party that provides alcohol and yet they are willing to pay $8 or more on 1 beer or 1 other alcoholic beverage. It doesn't make sense to me the decision behind those people. I mean, the amount of beverages they get served at the party for that $10 would cost over $50 at a bar... and yet people are more willing to pay that at a bar... it just doesnt make sense...
What to do?
Sometimes when you sit down and reflect on your life and how things are going, you start noticing how much you shut yourself down emotionally in order to keep going. You let people take advantage of your kindness and you let people blame you for their own ways. You start noticing little things that normally you just brush off your shoulder because they are not a big deal but when you look at them in detail, you realize that those little things are a hint of that persons weakness.
You start dreaming of being somewhere else where you know you are safe, like your parents home or a place where you are alone, away from the world, away from those who stress you out, away from everything that is wrong in your world. You start using your imagination to set you free and escape situations by imagining a better life, better friends, better partners etc. But upon that dissection of your life, you start to realize that things will get better one day, if you let them be, if you choose to make changes in your life, even if it means shedding some ties.
As they always say, life will always go on no matter what, and only the fittest will truly survive, look at your life, are you fit to survive with the way things are?

Some people wont change...so lets do karoke!
I have realized that some people will never change who they are because they will always keep being selfish and think about themselves. It is a fact of life. It is quite disappointing, but hey, who the hell cares... they will swim in their own little world while I go Karaoke! HAHAHA! Yes last nite was my first Karaoke experience. After receiving a phone call from Tim Tam and Squina, I left the Unipub and rushed to their sides and sang the Shoop Shoop song (Its in his eyes) by Cher... with Katya by my side ofcourse :). Apparently I had a fan in the crowd coz we left with Tim Tam and his crew to go to Unipub and then left again to go to Chicken Gourmet. On our Chicken Gourmet, this French guy was like "I have got a question for yall" and Katya was like "Question for who?" and he was like "Question for her (pointing to me)"... Orione then realized that the guy spoke french so they started to talk in French the whole way to Chicken Gourmet... apparantly about me... but I was way too driven to get to Chicken Gourmet that I was running all the way there...HHAHAHA... so we got to chicken gourmet and he was still obsessing over me but then we decided to leave coz Katya was tired so we went around looking for a taxi and eventually got one and the taxi driver was awesome... apparently he goes to UC... and we were like "Can we be your friends?" and he laughed and even offered to discount our taxi fare but we wanted to pay the full fare...And then i freaked out coz i couldnt find my keys... so we woke poor ol' Jenny up... and then i realized my keys were still in my door hole... woops... hahahaha...It was a pretty fun nite despite the 2 people i realized that will never change...But i guess it is their life... TISK TISK...

This is my move, my single status
This is my song of the day.. Its by Natasha Beddingfield
I'm not waitin' around for a man to save me
(Cause I'm happy where I am)
Don't depend on a guy to validate me
(No no)
I don't need to be anyone's baby
(Is that so hard to understand?)
No I don't need another half to make me whole
Make your move if you want
Doesn't mean I will or won't
I'm free to make my mind up
You either got it or you don't
[Chorus:]
This is my current single status
My declaration of independence
There's no way I'm tradin' places
Right now a star's in the reascendant
I'm single
(Right now)
That's how I wanna be
I'm single
(Right now)
That's how I wanna be
Ah yeah uh huh that's right
Don't need to be on somebody's arm to look good
(I like who I am)
I'm not saying I don't wanna fall in love 'cause I would
I'm not gonna get hooked up just 'cause you say I should
(Can't romance on demand)
I'm gonna wait so I'm sorry if you misunderstood

You say goodbye, I say hello
After learning of some home truths from an anonymous person, I realized somethings in life aren't meant to be. At first when i got the message I was a bit annoyed that some people can say they love you and get with someone else. It was an incident that happened in May which I wont mention but it made me realize that I don't know this person. Thanks to this anonymous person, it has made me realize some things. I guess it is true that you can't be friends with your ex, even though i don't believe that. I write and get no response, people say shit and I protect but i am totally over it and getting ready for tomorrow. Last week was the first time I actually let a guy knowingly flirt with me in 2 and 1/2 years. I mean the only action I got during our separation was through a dare and even then it meant nothing because my heart was somewhere else. It was great because it made me realize that the absence of communication actually does help a person move on from another. I feel great and ready to go to the next chapter. A year left and the world is my oyster and the sky is the limit. I never thought I could be strong again but this anonymous person has help me tremendously. I removed the anonymous message from my blog and deleted it from my email out of respect of my ex but I just wanted to say, we tried, we failed, it is just time to move on.
Its a new day.

Response to the Anonymous on Obama
To the person who replied to my Obama story. Thanks for your response. I found it funny and fair. But about the whole Obama thing, It was meant to be a fun response to how i choose Obama coz he is hot... Im not American so I can't vote but I am making a light response to the fact that being Hot and sounding smart can easily make people vote for them. I just think he is smarter than Bush. I think anyone is. But thats my opinion. Anyways thanks for your response :)
TV rambles
I was watching the TV and a movie and i realized things.
Firstly I was watching the DR.Phil show and he said something so true! He said it is better to be single and be healthy than sick as a couple. Your happiness is all you have and if someone impends that happiness then it is far better to be single and alone... at least you will be happy.
The second thing I thought was interesting was from Evan Almighty. They said that if you want to change the world you need to do Acts of Random Kindness, (A.R.K) and that is so true. You have to help a family at a time and it will become something bigger.

Jerks are not more interesting
I read this article on MSN and it was interesting.
The beginning line is:
Repeat this to yourself one thousand times:
Screwed-up people are not more interesting than people with their heads together. Baggage is not fascinating, romantic, or exciting. It is very, very tiring. Men who are polite and emotionally mature are hot. Learn it, love it, live by it.
If you want to read the rest go to MSN.
Anyways I thought the article was quite interesting. I guess jerks are not emotionally complex but emotionally retarded. I need to remember that.

Wonderful time not to be a celebrity
It is times like these when you realize that it is FANTASTIC not to be a celebrity! With Britney Spears having breakdowns, Lindsay Lohan acting up on her drugs, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie making ill advised decisions, it seems as if there has never been a better time to be an unknown. I mean these peoples problems are being plastered in the papers and they are destroying their own lives and the WHOLE world (well at least the section that has nothing better to do) is grabbing bagel and a cup of tea and sitting down and watching as their breakdowns unravel.I sit there and realize how lucky I am to be me! Yea so what if they get more money in a month than i will ever be able to make my whole lifetime, at least i have got my privacy and happiness! These people can't keep blaming the media for being all up in their grill because there are people like Denzel Washington who are famous and HOT and don't do stupid shit and don't get harassed 24/7 by the media. I mean i dont agree with the media making money off someones pain but they all knew that being rich and famous came with a bunch of paparazzi.
From where im standing, it is such a beautiful day... I can be me...
Open your eyes

These past couple of weeks which i havent written much about have been crazy... I went to the best parties ever and had sooo much fun and have had great days but I also went through some of the toughest days ever... No matter how tough the days were there were people who were always making me laugh... and all the good swallowed all the bad and i have been doing good... I mean just the other idea I got up on a stage and did a dance performance in front of
over a 100 people and I had fun and did something I would normally be too scared to do. Lets just say the performance was SOO good that boys were buying me drinks after and giving me hugs and hi5's... of course I didn't let any of them get too close because I am at a stage in my life where I am discovering myself and having fun. 1 year to go and I want to make the most of my last year in Australia! It is so crazy to think that in just a years time I will be free to do whatever I want to do. I will be on my own and work on getting a job and move on with life and start a NEW chapter in my life. It is so scary and yet so exciting. I am so used to my parents taking care of me soo well but now it will be me taking care of them. I am so scared of disappointing them because I love them so much but I know one day I will make them soo proud of me and will repay them for everything they have done for me and for being GREAT parents.
my quote of the day is are you saying that "i am not the girl that can break your heart?" and my song of the day that describes the moment is:
Of all the things I believe in
I just want to get it over with
tears from behind my eyes
but I do not cry
Counting the days that past me by
I've been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old
Looks like I'm starting all over again
The last three years were just pretend and I say
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I love
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

I vote for Obama

Not only is he hot... and smart... but he knows how to play the game... he never seems to amaze me! Yesterday Barrack Obama raised 32.5 million dollars! That is more than Hillary Clinton's 27 million dollars and record high money raised by a democrat in a quarter!
CNN wrote a story headlined "Obama's money put Clinton's 'inevitable' nomination in doubt"
Thats awesome... if I were American my vote would go for Obama but I like him too much so I hope he loses because Bush has left US affairs and international affairs in disarray and who ever wins will be more of a janitor cleaning up GWB's mess than actually be a president.
I hope he wins but I don't know if America is ready/wants a black president yet... they are not ready for a 24.

Register Curse
I work at Kmart and i have noticed a crazy 'phenomena'... 8 out of 10 times, people who have their cell phones on them always receive phone calls right when they get to the registers. Its pretty crazy but it happens a lot. It happens to me too when I got shopping at Kmart, my phone goes off right when I get to the registers! CRAZY!
What happened this week?
In the UK, a 19 year old teenager was convicted of murder for stabbing a nurse because he was bored and said he would do it again if he could.
Also in the UK, 2 cars were found with explosives and while in another incident, a jeep cherokee was crashed into an airport terminal.
In the US, A pregnant Ohio woman was laid to rest after she was supposedly attacked and murdered in front of her 2 year old son by her babies father who turned out to be a cop.
Egypt has banned female circumcision after an outcry when a 12 year old girl died during the procedure.
North Korea has agreed to close down on of its reactors.
And on a lighter note, Tony Blair proposed to his current wife Cherie, while she was cleaning the loo.

Coincidence, twisted or sinister?
I was reading an article on CNN about how someone posted on Wikipidea that Nancy Benoit was dead before the officials actually found the bodies and it made me wonder "SAY WHAT?"... Could it be something wrong with the time stamp or someones twisted explanation for Chris Benoit's decision to not to the Pay per view fight or was it something more sinister? I guess we will find out soon.

Taking a nap? stick to 1hr 30 min.
Some times when I sleep for 3 hours I wake up and feel refreshed but then if I sleep for 4 hours I feel exhausted... So i thought to myself why this is. I figured that it must be because we sleep in patterns but my house mate Katya disagreed. She said that she has to have a full sleep or she feels tired if woken up in the middle... and guess what, I WAS RIGHT. According to Glen Rhodes of Glenrhodes.com we sleep in 90 minute intervals. So if you wake up after 3 hours or after taking a 1hr 30 min nap, you feel refreshed. I am not saying that this applies to EVERYONE... because for some it might be 2 hour intervals... especially not you Katya but it does apply to a lot of people... Sometimes when I am about to to board a plane I try to stay up as long as I can so that I can fall asleep on the plane but I usually fall asleep and wake up after an hour and a half... and feel refreshed... and I used to think it was because I was scared of airplanes but it is because of the sleeping cycle... having said this, it might not be true... I totally believe it is but what do yall think?
Response to Anonymous, you teacher was on something. Who wakes up after 45 minutes and feels refreshed?

Chris Benoit DEAD?!

I never saw this coming... WWE's Chris Benoit is dead! Such a sad story! What is going on in American sports? It seems like everyone is dying or killing themselves...well in Chris Benoit's case, he killed his wife, child and himself... thats twisted.
As CNN Reports
FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife, and son were found dead Monday and police said they were investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.
Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being treated as a murder-suicide, but said that couldn't be confirmed until evidence was examined by a crime lab.
The station said that investigators believe the 40-year-old Benoit killed his wife, Nancy, and 7-year-old son, Daniel, over the weekend, then himself on Monday. A neighbor called police, and the bodies were found in three rooms.
Lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, told The Associated Press the deaths were being investigated as homicide, and that the causes of death awaited autopsy results on Tuesday. Pope said the bodies were discovered about 2:30 p.m., but refused to release details.
The house is in a secluded neighborhood set back about 60 yards off a gravel road, surrounded by stacked stone wall and a double-iron gate. On Monday night, the house was dark except for a few outside lights. There was a police car in front, along with two uniformed officers.
Benoit was a former world heavyweight and Intercontinental champion. He also held several tag-team titles during his career.
"WWE extends its sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Benoit family's relatives and loved ones in this time of tragedy," the federation said in a statement on its Web site.
Benoit was scheduled to perform at the "Vengeance" pay-per-view event Sunday night in Houston, but was replaced at the last minute because of what announcer Jim Ross called "personal reasons."
The native of Canada maintained a home in metro Atlanta from the time he wrestled for the defunct World Championship Wrestling.
The WWE canceled its live Monday Night RAW card in Corpus Christi, Texas, and USA Network aired a three-hour tribute to Benoit in place of the scheduled wrestling telecast.
"My relationship with Chris has extended many years and I consider him a great friend," Carl DeMarco, the president of WWE Canada, said in a statement. "Chris was always first-class -- warm, friendly, caring and professional one of the best in our business."

Alcohol for minors? JUST ADD WATER
There was this article I read from NEWS.COM.AU about this new form of alcohol; powdered alcohol.
THIRSTY Dutch students have developed the first powdered alcohol - which they say can be sold legally to minors.
The latest innovation in inebriation, called Booz2Go, is available in 20-gramme packets that cost €1-1.5 ($1.35-$2).
Top it up with water and you have a bubbly, lime-colored and -flavored drink with just three percent alcohol content.
"We are aiming for the youth market. They are really more into it because you can compare it with Bacardi-mixed drinks," 20-year-old Harm van Elderen said.
Van Elderen and four classmates at Helicon Vocational Institute, about an hour's drive from Amsterdam, came up with the idea as part of their final-year project.
"Because the alcohol is not in liquid form, we can sell it to people below 16," said project member Martyn van Nierop.
The legal age for drinking alcohol and smoking is 16 in the Netherlands.
In Germany, alcopops - sweet drinks containing alcohol and in powder form - caused quite a stir when launched on to the market. Alcohol powder, classified as a flavoring, was sold in the United States three years ago.
The students said companies interested in making the product commercially could avoid taxes because the alcohol was in powder form. A number of companies are interested, they said.
Now that is WHACK! Not the whole idea but the fact that they want to aim it towards children under 16! Seriously are they thinking straight? Im confused, who was the first to make alcohol powder? It says it was done in the US 3 years ago and then they said that the Dutch have developed the first powdered alcohol... which one is it?

Milky suspicions
It seems like everything causes cancer. There was an article I read ages ago on BBC NEWS about how women who drink more than 2 glasses of milk a day increase the may risk developing ovarian cancer.
Consuming large amounts of milk may increase the risk of developing ovarian cancer, research suggests.
A study of more than 60,000 women found drinking more than two glasses of milk a day significantly upped the risk of the most serious form of the disease.
Dairy products have previously been linked to cancers, including those of the breast and prostate.
The research, by Sweden's Karolinska Institute, is published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
The researchers followed 61,084 women aged 38 to 76 for around 13 years.
During this time a total of 266 women were diagnosed with ovarian cancer, of whom 125 had serous ovarian cancer.
The researchers found women who consumed more than four servings of dairy products a day had twice the risk of serous ovarian cancer than women who had fewer than two.
They found that milk had the strongest link with ovarian cancer - those women who drank two or more glasses a day were at double the risk of those who did not consume it at all, or only in small amounts.
The reason why milk may increase the risk of ovarian cancer is unclear, but one theory is that lactose, a type of sugar found in milk, may overstimulate production of hormones which encourage tumour growth.
Diet element unclear
Dr Kate Law, of Cancer Research UK, said it was not yet clear how nutrients, or the amount and distribution of body fat affected the risk of developing cancer.
She said: "Previous research has also suggested that a diet rich in whole milk, yogurt and cheese may put women at higher risk of ovarian cancer.
"But the picture is far from clear, as other evidence suggests that women who drink skimmed or low-fat milk might have a lower risk of ovarian cancer."
Dr Law a major study, involving 500,000 people, was currently underway to try to assess the impact on diet on cancer.
"Until more is known about the specific components of diet that influence cancer risk, the best advice is to emphasize a balanced diet which includes plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables."
Around 6,700 women in the UK are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year.
Maybe one day will see a label saying "May cause ovarian cancer" on Milk bottles one day.
the sun goes down on Paris
I guess I am not the only one who was annoyed by the Paris Hilton thing... the judge was too... Paris Hilton is back in prison again as MSNBC reports.
LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton was sent screaming and crying back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her sentence behind bars rather than in the comfort of her Hollywood Hills home.
“It’s not right!” shouted Hilton, who violated her probation in a reckless driving case. “Mom!” she cried out to her mother.
The 26-year-old hotel heiress was taken handcuffed from her home in a black-and-white police car, paparazzi sprinting in pursuit and helicopters broadcasting live from above. She entered the courtroom disheveled and weeping, hair askew, without makeup, wearing a fuzzy gray sweat shirt over slacks.
She cried throughout the hearing, dabbing her eyes, and her body shook constantly. Several times she turned to her parents, seated behind her in the courtroom, and mouthed, “I love you.” TMZ.com reported that Hilton's family will file an appeal, maybe as soon as Friday afternoon.
Hilton was taken to a treatment center at the downtown Twin Towers jail for medical and psychiatric examination to determine which facility she will be held in, said sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.
“She’ll be there for at least a couple of days,” he said.
The sheriff later defended his decision, citing jail crowding (although Hilton was in special unit and did not have a cellmate) and what he termed “severe medical problems.”
He said he had learned from one of her doctors that she was not taking a certain medication while previously in custody, and that her “inexplicable deterioration” puzzled county psychiatrists.
Baca also charged that Hilton received a more severe sentence than the usual penalty for such a crime, but said he would not try to overrule Sauer’s decision again.
“The criminal justice system should not create a football out of Ms. Hilton’s status,” the sheriff said grimly at a press conference.
Despite being ordered to serve the remainder of her original 45-day sentence, Hilton could still be released early. Inmates are given a day off their terms for every four days of good behavior, and her days in home detention counted as time served.
Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer was calm but apparently irked by Sheriff Lee Baca’s decision to release Hilton three days into her sentence due to an unspecified “medical condition.”
“I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions,” Sauer said. “At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home.”
Hearing sought by prosecutors
The hearing was requested by the city attorney’s office, which had prosecuted Hilton and wanted Baca held in contempt for releasing Hilton despite Sauer’s express order that she must serve her time in jail. The judge took no action on the contempt request.
A member of the county counsel’s staff said Baca was willing to come to court with medical personnel. The judge did not take him up on the offer.
Assistant City Attorney Dan F. Jeffries argued that Hilton’s incarceration was purely up to the judge. “Her release after only three days erodes confidence in the judicial system,” he said.
Hilton’s attorney, Richard Hutton, implored the judge to order a hearing in his chambers to hear testimony about Hilton’s medical condition before making a decision. The judge did not respond to that suggestion.
Another of her attorneys, Steve Levine, said, “The sheriff has determined that because of her medical situation, (jail) is a dangerous place for her.”
“The court’s role here is to let the Sheriff’s Department run the jail,” he said.
Judge didn't receive papers from sheriff
The judge interrupted several times to say that he had received a call last Wednesday from an undersheriff informing him that Hilton had a medical condition and that he would submit papers to the judge to consider. He said the papers never arrived.
Every few minutes, the judge would interrupt proceedings, state the time on the clock, and note that the papers still had not arrived.
He also noted that he had heard that a private psychiatrist visited Hilton in jail, and he wondered if that person played a role in deciding her medical needs.
The last attorney to speak was another deputy city attorney, David Bozanich, who declared, “This is a simple case. There was a court order. The Sheriff’s Department chose to violate that order. There is no ambiguity.”
Hilton’s twisted jailhouse saga began Sept. 7, when she failed a sobriety test after police saw her weaving down a street in her Mercedes-Benz on what she said was a late-night hamburger run.
She pleaded no contest to reckless driving and was sentenced to 36 months’ probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines. In the months that followed she was stopped twice while driving on a suspended license. The second stop landed her in Sauer’s courtroom.
Back before Sauer on Friday, Hilton’s entire body trembled as the final pitch was made for her further incarceration. She clutched a ball of tissue and tears ran down her face.
I just don't understand her parents. I know you need to protect your child but are they really protecting their child by defending her drunk driving? I don't understand how anyone can defend anybody drunk driving. Seriously... Her parents need to stop being her best friend and be her parents! She is serving 3 weeks in prison in an isolated area and she is crying like she is going to prison for life. I am sorry for sounding harsh but I HAVE NO SYMPATHY.
As for the Sheriff, why is he trying to protect her so much? Would he do the same for people of less financially fortunate? Or is this his 15 minutes of fame moment?

Paris Hilton...OUT ALREADY?!
Okay seriously, what is going on? Paris Hilton has been released from prison after 3 days?! ARE YOU SERIOUS? In the article on CNN.com, it says that she has been released for medical reasons!
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Paris Hilton was let out from jail Thursday morning, just days after she began serving her 45-day sentence for violating probation, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said at a press conference.
Hilton, who has been fitted with an electronic monitoring device, will serve the rest of her sentence from home, said Steve Whitmore of the sheriff's department. She will now be under the supervision of the L.A. County Probation Department, Whitmore added.
She will be confined to her home for 40 days, the remainder of her 45-day sentence.
Whitmore said the decision to have Hilton serve out her sentence at home was for medical reasons.
Hilton had been serving at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California. She gets credit for five days served, having entered the facility late Sunday night and left Thursday morning, Whitmore said.
Hilton checked into the facility to begin serving a sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. The sentence, originally 45 days, was reduced to 23 for various reasons, including good behavior. Whitmore said with the reassignment to home confinement, the sentence is back to its full 45 days.ARE THEY SURE SHE WASN'T RELEASED FOR BEING TOO RICH? Am I the only one who is frustrated by this whole case? I believe that if you do the crime, you should do the time... like if you make one mistake, I think they should be lenient, but she did it AGAIN! What kind of people are her parents? I know they love her but they are not being good parents by fixing her problems every time she messes up! When will she ever learn if they keep brushing all her dirt, under the rug? Don't get me wrong, I believe that everyone makes mistakes and everyone deserves a second chance but as they say "fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice shame on me"...
Wow
Wow I didn't see that coming! I was surprised at the amount of response I got from Random people... I would respond to some of the people like Joanne or however she spells her name but unlike her, I appreciate people having different viewpoints and don't feel the need to attack people for their viewpoints. Even though she thinks I did this whole thing to get attention, she could be far from the truth. This blog was created for my main man, BJ Ryddoch, to read my thoughts about everything... so all this attention caught my by surprise... I kinda enjoyed reading EVERYONES viewpoints though! I believe it is good to listen to other peoples opinion if you don't want to be narrow minded. Thanks to all those who responded... whoever... and wherever you are!

Gisele has got brains
Finally someone speaks out LOUDLY about the retarded Vatican church's opposition to condom use.
This article was taken from a story on NEWS.COM.AU
Seriously they are fucking people up! I mean in Africa, people are so religious so they decide to have sex without condoms because they listen to the pope and BAM! they got HIV! What the hell is wrong with these people? People are always going to have sex! Why not set a good example about using protection than just being evil and telling them that it is ok to have unprotected sex. Even if you waited to marriage, your partner could still have HIV! It is like they want us Africans to keep passing HIV to each other! Thats just sick!SUPERMODEL Gisele Bundchen stepped into the debate over birth control and sexual behaviour in Brazil today, saying Church opposition to condom use was ridiculous and women should have the right to choose on abortion.
Gisele is idolised by many young women in Brazil, the world's largest Roman Catholic country, where debate over sexual issues has intensified around a visit by Pope Benedict last month.
The Pope stressed the Church's firm opposition to abortion and contraception and railed against sex outside of marriage.
The Brazilian beauty, one of the world's top models, told Folha de S.Paulo newspaper in an interview that when the Church made its laws centuries ago, women were expected to be virgins.
"Today no one is a virgin when they get married ... show me someone who's a virgin!" she said.
Asked about abortion, she said a woman should have the right to choose what is best for her.
"If she thinks she doesn't have the money or the emotional condition to raise a child, why should she give birth?"
Gisele, who had just arrived from New York to take part in Rio de Janeiro's Fashion Week, also defended condom use.
"It's ridiculous to ban contraceptives - you only have to think of the diseases that are transmitted without them. I think it should be compulsory to use a contraceptive."
The Brazilian government has clashed with the church over anti-AIDS programs in which it distributes millions of free condoms and Health Minister Jose Temporao has called for a national referendum on abortion.
Other Brazilian celebrities have fallen foul of the Vatican over sex issues. Singer Daniela Mercury was banned from performing at a Vatican Christmas concert in 2005 because she took part in a campaign promoting condom use to prevent AIDS.
are you more equal?
Is one persons life worth more than another? It seems so. When an Iraqi dies, it is just a number but when an American dies, its a face. I just think it is really sad. I mean I felt so bad for the people who died on September 11 and their families because it was such an atrocious evil act done on undeserving people. However at the same time I feel bad for the people in Africa who die everyday because they are poor or have HIV or Malaria... I feel bad for the Iraqi's who are being killed in Iraq by the US soldiers and Insurgents... I feel bad for the people in Russia who are being victimized racially for being different. I feel bad for all the people in South Africa who are suffering a backlash from the ever growing racial tension. I feel bad for all the people in India who suffer from poverty. I feel bad for everyone who suffers and I don't understand why other people can't. Why cant we look at people as people and not categorize them based on their riches, race or country they are from. We need to be able to look at people as people and not as 1st, 2nd 3rd class, Developing and undeveloping. Such a shame.

Tread softly
The following was a poem I heard on the movie Equilibrium and I loved it.
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet,
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams

friendship
I have realized that there are five types of friends.
The first is the "Thelma and Louise friend". These kind of friends are the ones that you have a special bond spiritually and mentally. If you had to take a bullet for them, literally, you would and so would they for you. These are the friends that even if you didn't talk for 2 years, you would know that they think about you all the time and that if you were to meet today, it would be as if no time had passed.
The second is the "True Friend". These kind of friends are the ones that always think about you and will always go the extra mile, to make sure that you are happy and if not, they do their best to help you solve your issues without alienating you. They ask enough questions to find out how you are doing and genuinely want to know how everything is going.
The third is the "Friend". These friends care for you and love you however they will take you at face value and wont question what you tell them. For example if you lie to them and tell them that you are happy, they will be like 'ok'.
The fourth is the 'Friend of convenience". These friends are the ones that you talk to when you are at a party or are alone however they would not go out of their way to help you or genuinely want to know how you are. They may also ask you for favors but never really pay it back in any way or form.
The fifth is the "Friend by association". These friends were someone else's friend but you met them and they talk to you when they see you but it is superficial.
After going through a tough day I have realized that I have "thelma and louise friends" and "true friends". Hours after writing my last statement, people were calling me (Cho Cho), baking me cupcakes and buying me a bottle of lemonade (Katya and Xtina) and I thought they were all sweet. I just wanted to say thank you to the people I am referring to because you really helped me out today and I will always love you for that.
Thanks!

when its over
It is just one of those days when you just dont want to wake up. Everything is going wrong and to top it off my family aint with me. Could this be the beginning of a midlife crisis? or is it just a string of bad days? I don't know when these series of bad events will end and when the sun will shine again but I guess I gotta keep going. I beat it once and I know i will beat it again. I have got to deal with my parents being stressed out for loving us to much and me wanting to go home because I love them and dont want them to deal with all this shit. Being told that I am a selfish harsh bitch for once not wanting to deal with other peoples shit. Was the dream I had of a parent dying the beginning like it was a couple of years ago? i remember crying in the dream and waking up with tears just as I did a couple of years ago. I woke up today feeling nothing. Feeling empty. Feeling like running to my moms arms crying and just giving her a huge hug because only a mothers touch can make all the pain go away... even if for a moment. My parents are the only people who will ever have the best intentions for me and I wish I were home with them right now. Im just tired. Too tired.
Perfect Date
I think the most perfect date is during a snowy day. Everything is covered in snow, the outdoor lights look blurry because the snow is falling from the sky so fast. It is cold outside but sooo warm inside. You wake up and go downstairs and see that the Christmas lights are on and there is a cup of hot chocolate waiting for you. Your partner gives you a kiss and you just lay together on the couch and snuggle as the morning Christmas cartoons are playing on t.v. in the background. You both head towards the Christmas tree and grab the presents that you got for each other and ignore the other ones because that day, that Sunday morning, is all about you and your partner. You take a snap of both of you laying down, snuggling. Your partner laughs and asks why you are taking a picture in a sweet and caring manner while kissing you and you say "I don't want to ever forget this moment".
That is the moment I want to have one day with my future husband :P... I want the feeling of it every day when I truly find the person I am meant to be with.
The quote that made me laugh
Katya would under stand how funny this quote is coz she watched the movie with me...in separate rooms... hahaha.... This quote is from Teaching Mrs. Tingles...
The character Jo-Lynn to Mrs. Tingles:
"I can't believe you don't have a TV. I mean it's like not having toilet paper. I could be at home watching Sally-Jesse or Oprah or Jerry. Where else are you gonna see 'man has sex change to become lesbian?' you think about that"
All i have to say is HAHAHAHAHHA!
toilet phobia
You go into the toilet expecting to just sit down and take a piss but before you can do that you have to check to make sure that there is no sketchy fluids on the toilet seat, clear, yellow or red... yes i know...GROSS! but i have seen it all before! Then when you get up and reach for the toilet paper, it is wet for some reason... hmmm... and then you stand up and realize that there is a piece of toilet paper stuck on your shoes... You spend a couple of seconds trying to remove it without touching it and then when done taking it off, you touch the door handle to open the door only to find that the handle is wet! You wonder whether its just water or something more sinister. You go and wash your hands in the outside basin and then go and take your shower. While in the shower you have to put your sandals on because you have heard stories of people peeing or shagging in the bathroom shower... Yes the bathroom has become a very scary place.

Can I have a sip?

When I was walking from work today, something came into my head? When people ask you if they can have a sip of your drink or have a bite of your food, do people only allow their same sex friends and attractive opposite sex friends? If a hot stranger came and asked you for a sip would you give it to me him? if a less attractive stranger came up, would you give it to him? If a person of the opposite sex asks you for a sip, does it mean that they think you are some what attractive? Is there any sort of correlation
between attractiveness and sip giving or sharing of food? I mean spit is transferred between the people sometimes so wouldn't you subconsciously be selective? There you go, food for thought.
Is home where the heart is
How do you know where home is when you travel so much? I remember having that discussion once with my home girl and she said it is where you family is.But then i thought, does that mean my homes are Cuba, Russia, Australia, Zimbabwe, the US and Mozambique? And she was like 'no' its where your heart is and then I thought to myself, my heart is in all these places so are all these places home? They bare all my memories, my childhood, my secrets and all the things that have shaped me into being the person that i am. But then i realized that home is not set place, it is not country or a building, it is where you wish you were. It is where you are the most happy. Home is an invisible should that symbolizes everything you were raised to be and everything that you are and everything that made you you. Home is your brothers and sisters, your mother and father, your cousins and uncles. The heart, is where your home is.

crazy days- an Op shop account

Oh man I remember Op Shop ball 2007 like it were yesterday. Okay where do I start?
THE ALCOHOL THAT DIDNT WANT TO BE DRUNK.
I have no idea how that alcohol fight started but it did and boy was it fun. All i remember is that some alcohol was dropped/poured on me by mistake...and it was game on! It started with me and Read and we were chasing each other and throwing beer on each other and then i ran to the bathroom so that I couldnt be sprayed again. I went into the boys coz the girls room was SOOO busy and I took my piss, made my peace (hehehe) and walked out and as soon as I got out, SPLASH! Read and Jordie Pants threw more alcohol on me and in my eye! I saw Xtina holding beer and i hit her cup and the alcohol hit Read and she wasnt too happy at the wasted alcohol. I ran away immediately and thought I was going to get away when out of now where, I slipped and fell and I knew it was game over for me. Read poured his beer all over my head while i was still on the floor and then i felt a sting on my knee and thats when I realized I had bruised my knee when I fell. I dont know how coz i fell backwards. We called it truce coz i think his girl was getting annoyed and then I couldnt help myself and threw 1 more cup and then called it truce for real. PRETTY FUN (I know grammatically that phrase doesnt make sense :P)
THE COLD BOOB
I had just found C-pants and since I had alcohol all over me, I realized that my boobs felt cold. I felt them and they were pretty cold because of the alcohol. I said "Xtina, my boobs are cold!" Jordie Pants looked at me like what and I realized that she hadnt heard me so I screamed again,
"Xtina my BOOBS are COLD!" and alot of people near us turned around! She came over and put her hand and touched my boobs... after 5 seconds, we both pulled back coz we realized how weird it looked!
HANS IS HAIRY
Xtina was talking to Hans, a Finnish boy and so I came over and realized that he had alot of chest hair showing through his top. I started playing with his chest hair and Xtina decided to join in. I became dissatisfied and decided to open more of his buttons :P. I then opened 1 of my dress buttons because it seemed like a good idea at the moment. Xtina then closed my button for me.
THE ELUSIVE BUTTONS!
Ok over the night my buttons would come undone and Xtina would always do them up for me again. I know some of the time it was me doing it but there were times when seriously came undone on their own. I SWEAR! hahaha.
DISAPPEARING KATYA
When we were about to go home, we decided we would walk home... We tried to call Todd to see if he could pick us up but he didnt pick up his phone so we started walking. After 3 minutes of walking, we realized Katya had disappeared. We tried calling her but it didnt work but then she eventually picked up and then told us she had gotten into a car with the other girls.
THE COLD WALK HOME
Oh man we had to walk home and it was sooooo cold! My legs were sooooo cold... hahahha... but we got there in 1 piece... eventually...
OH MAN IT WAS SUCH A FUN NITE! WORTH THE 40 BUCKS AND THE GOON! HAHAHA
